Indonesia's credit ratings upgraded

Standard & Poor's yesterday upgraded Indonesia's long-term sovereign credit ratings even as it warned that the government might have to spend almost $10bn (£5.4bn) cleaning up the books of state-owned banks.

S&P lifted Indonesia's long-term foreign currency rating by one notch to BB- from B+ and the local currency rating to BB+ from BB.
