Communication and collaboration is important for most companies, but particularly for businesses such as ARM Holdings, whose main activity is selling its own research.

The Cambridge-based company is the world’s biggest supplier of intellectual property for semiconductors. It has licensed its IP to companies such as Philips, Toshiba, and Samsung, and its chip designs appear in many consumer electronics devices such as iPods and Sony PSPs.
