Jessops will struggle to keep itself in the picture

How Jessops’ management must long for the corporate equivalent of photo-editing software. With a couple of clicks, they could eliminate their red-eye, delete the unsightly aspidistra that seems to be sprouting from granny’s head, crop out their more grotesque relatives and transform an image taken in Stygian half-light into a sunlit scene of familial celebration. Alas for them, the camera never lies. The latest snapshot shows Jessops has a chance of survival but it is still a slim one.
