Island rises on storage hopes

Island Oil & Gas climbed 3.7 per cent to 7¼p on hopes its gas fields would be worth much more if used as storage.

Island last month put the two mature Celtic Sea fields up for sale in order to focus on Moroccan exploration. The offshore developments are neighbours of the long-established Kinsale field, which was recently bought by Petronas.
