Tick-tock at UBS

Swiss sensibilities about time disappear completely when it comes to a UBS investor meeting, the latest of the four to be held this year at a desultory trade fair hall in Lucerne lasting four-and-a-half hours.

But it was a sign that things were getting better, according to our observer, as the previous meeting ran for seven hours and directors were subject to a torrent of criticism while this time the mood was one of quiet desolation.
