Protest groups grab their chance to put pressure on China

With most stadiums almost finished and detailed logistics preparations under way, China is turning to one aspect of the Olympics it cannot control - the global lobby groups that see the event as a rare chance to put genuine political pressure on Beijing.

The Save Darfur coalition has already run large advertisements in the global media, branding the Beijing Olympics the "genocide games" because of what they say is China's support for the Sudanese regime.
