Institutional investors are eyeing the UK private rented housing sector to see if it might make a rewarding asset class.

The sector is gaining attention following an initiative earlier this month by the Homes and Communities Agency to drum up investment interest to develop a long-term funding model for new private rental housing in England to alleviate the housing crisis.
