Bailiffs raised the pressure on Telenor’s main Russian investment on Monday after threatening the immediate sale of the Norwegian company’s strategic stake in Vimpelcom, the mobile phone operator.

Russia’s federal bailiff service said it had drawn up documents to auction the stake in the “nearest future”.
