Dispute delays stimulus plans in Germany

A potentially damaging political split has emerged in the German government over the contents of a package of economic support measures amid a rapidly deteriorating outlook for growth next year.

Senior officials said the measures would not be presented to cabinet as planned this week because of a disagreement between the finance and economics ministries.
