Rank hit by Budget

The Budget’s increases in gambling duty sent Rank’s shares plummeting after the group said the annual cost to the business would be in the order of £9m ($13m).

Shares in the bingo and casino operator dipped 14 per cent on Thursday morning trading before recovering slightly to close the day at 69¾p.
