Australia says China extends Rio probe

Chinese authorities have extended the investigation into four executives from Rio Tinto, who now face an additional two months in jail.

The four Rio Tinto executives have been imprisoned since early July on allegations that they stole state secrets, but the charges were downgraded three months ago when they were formally arrested on suspicion of obtaining trade secrets and commercial bribery.
