Autonomy upbeat in final quarter

Autonomy, the Cambridge-based search software company, hailed a “momentous” year as tighter corporate regulation helped it post record results for 2008.

The group, which provides software that searches “unstructured information” such as documents, e-mails, phone conversations and multimedia, has ridden a wave of increased demand, prompted in part by regulatory changes.
