Tories advised to end benefits for ‘well-off’

David Cameron should take an axe to benefits enjoyed by middle England as a Tory administration tries to bring order back to the public finances, a leading Conservative says on Thursday.

David Davis, a former leadership challenger and figurehead of the party’s right wing, sets out a list of possible cuts for an incoming Tory administration.
