GlaxoSmithKline, the UK pharmaceuticals group, is to make the details and results of all clinical trials of drugs it has launched since 2000 freely available on the internet.

The group is also preparing to establish an independent review body of outside experts to scrutinise data it publishes to ensure that they meet professional standards, according to company officials.
