Investors turn to the rising sun to bolster portfolios

The credit crunch and rising inflation still hamper the performance of US and European markets. But it appears the land of the rising sun is not taking as big a hit in the downturn.

After shunning Japanese equities for the last decade, a growing number of battle-worn investors are changing their view on the country and buying into the Nikkei 225 as the market appears to offer more value than its western counterparts.
