Concert promoters join tickets battle

Concert promoters have joined performing artists' managers in their battle to get secondary ticketing companies to pay a levy from the profits they make on live shows.

The Music Managers Forum last year signed up 140 artist managers, including representatives of the Verve and Robbie Williams, to a campaign demanding contributions from online companies such as Ebay and Viagogo, which sell on fans' tickets, sometimes at several times their face value.
