The sprightly Sir John Ritblat is one of the last of the generation of post-war property investors still active in the sector, and he shows no sign of slowing down.
Having built British Land into a listed giant, the 72-year-old stepped down in 2006 and is now chairman of the real estate advisory board for Delancey, the investment company headed by his son Jamie, where he has a hand in decision-making for the company’s billions in private investor funds. He is also chairman of Colliers CRE, the international property consultancy, and holds a string of positions on various boards and charitable organisations.
