MP to question Ikea over causes of stampede at store opening

David Lammy, the Labour MP for Tottenham, is to press Ikea's management on its corporate responsibility after several people were injured in its bungled store opening in Edmonton, near his constituency.

Mr Lammy said yesterday that the debacle threw up a number of issues around its advertising and infrastructure planning, adding that he would "be asking the chief executive of Ikea in the days to come about the issues".
