ACP strikes magazine deal with BBC

ACP Magazines has cemented its lead as Australia's largest magazine publisher by striking a partnership with the UK's BBC Worldwide to bring brands such as Top Gear and Good Food to the Australian -market.

The 50/50 joint venture represents the latest step in the ambitious expansion plans of John Smith, chief executive of the BBC's commercial arm, which has sought to turn programmes developed by the British state-funded broadcaster into lucrative global brands.
