After pacing back and forth in the lobby of the Hilton Hotel in downtown Washington on his cellphone for several minutes, Bruce Marks, the fiery head of Naca, a non-profit that helps borrowers facing foreclosure restructure their loans, finally sits down.
Not surprisingly, he has harsh words for many US lenders and servicers, accusing them of selling mortgages to people at rates they couldn’t afford, and ignoring those same people when they later come looking for help.
