Ex-Deutsche Post chief admits tax evasion

Klaus Zumwinkel, the former chief executive of Deutsche Post, admitted today that he used a secret bank account in Liechtenstein to avoid paying about €970,000 in taxes.

The business leader is the most renowned of more than 700 people targeted by a tax evasion inquiry that began last year when the German government bought a computer disk stolen from a Liechtenstein bank.
