California to sue EPA over emissions

California is heading for a showdown with the government after the Environmental Protection Agency denied the state’s request for a waiver that would have allowed it to set its own vehicle emissions standards.

The rejection of the request is likely to cause friction between Arnold Schwarzenegger, California governor, and George W. Bush who have, thus far, enjoyed a close relationship.
