Japan’s tax revenues grow for second year

Japan will announce later this month that tax revenues for the year ended March rose for the second consecutive year, a sign that the country’s economic recovery is feeding through to household incomes and company earnings.

There was further evidence of this trend on Monday when official figures showed Japanese companies raised wages and hired more full-time staff in May compared with a year earlier. It indicates that the country’s recovery is becoming increasingly sustainable.
