O2 fears loss of exclusive iPhone deal

O 2 is bracing itself for the possibility of losing its exclusive deal to sell Apple’s iPhone in the UK, in what would be a significant setback for the UK’s leading mobile phone operator.

Apple has a two-year break clause in its deal with O2, under which the operator is the exclusive UK network for the iPhone, according to people familiar with the situation.
