Waste reduction: The industry faces an uphill struggle to meet targets

Most industries produce human-scale goods, but by their very nature the construction trade’s end-products tend to be vast: bridges, offices, housing estates, road and rail networks.

Such structures require large volumes of materials, which inevitably create large volumes of waste.
