As part of occupied East Jerusalem, the Old City forms one of the countless frontlines in the struggle between Israel and Palestinians. Only here, the battle is fought above all over real estate. Over the past years, the number of Jewish settlers moving into the Muslim and Christian quarters of the Old City has been rising steadily. Though small in numbers, the settlers inside the Old City have sparked sharp tensions with their Palestinian neigbours. Tobias Buck reports
