Centrica is to spend £725m ($1.19bn) to build a wind farm off the Lincolnshire coast, with the creation of a joint venture and a £340m refinancing of its wind portfolio.

The project will create electricity for 200,000 homes and feature 75 3.6MW Siemens turbines. It will be located 8km off Skegness, next to Centrica’s Lynn and Inner Dowsing offshore wind farm project.
