TNK-BP finance chief resigns

The turmoil at BP's TNK-BP joint venture in Russia deepened yesterday as its chief financial officer resigned, blaming the escalating battle for control of the group.

James Owen's resignation comes 10 days after Robert Dudley, TNK-BP's chief executive, left Russia citing a campaign of harassment, and will leave only three members of the group's original five-member core executive committee in Russia.
