Saudi Arabia needs to do more to prevent Saudi-based individuals and charities financing extremism and terrorist networks outside the kingdom, a US official said on Wednesday.

A report by the US’s government accountability office said US governmental agencies remain concerned about the ability of Saudis and Saudi-based charities to fund terrorist organisations in other countries.
