Hermes Real Estate revamps management

Hermes Real Estate, the fund manager that has £28bn in property assets, has restructured its management team to help implement a new strategy to expand investment outside direct property.

The strategy, which comes during one of the worst periods on record for commercial property, will see the manager invest indirectly, for example, in public companies for the first time as well as in the debt secured on real estate assets.
