Merck to revamp Vioxx court tactics

Merck, the US drug company at the centre of the Vioxx scandal, is preparing to revamp its courtroom tactics in the belief that its legal defence can win over jurors.

The determination to fight on after last week's heavy setback in Texas, when a court awarded damages of $253m, comes amid a further rise in the number of lawsuits filed against the group.
