Cheney warns on terrorism

Barack Obama’s changes to US policy on combating terrorism are retrograde moves that will leave the US at greater risk of attack, former vice-president Dick Cheney said on Sunday.

In a wide-ranging attack on the Obama administration, Mr Cheney told CNN that Mr Obama’s reversal of some of the policies of the George W. Bush administration – including closing Guantanamo Bay and clamping down on harsh interrogation techniques – had made America less safe.
