In the first chapter of a popular Japanese manga cartoon for working women, the heroine (a beautiful, talented, single and exhausted employee of a publishing company) decides to take a much-needed holiday to attend the wedding of a friend – much to the chagrin of her male colleagues.

The holiday is for just a few days, and there appear to be plenty of people in the office to cope while she is away. Despite the overtime in preparation for her absence, the holiday is constantly interrupted by phone calls and faxes to her hotel by male colleagues in a panic over handling her clients. Unable to ignore the demands, she finally gives in to help them.
