David Cameron picked a fight with business yesterday as he stepped up efforts to show how much the Conservative party has changed under his leadership.

Setting out the thinking behind his pledge to "stand up to big business" where necessary, Mr Cameron criticised supermarkets, retailers and employers that acted "irresponsibly".
