Army vehicle deal goes to General Dynamics

The Ministry of Defence has awarded a contract to General Dynamics of the US to build and test the chassis for a next-generation armoured vehicle for possible use by the British army.

The MoD had also been expected to award a similar deal to Britain's BAE Systems for a rival contract.
