Scania hit by Europe’s economic uncertainty

Scania, the Swedish truckmaker, on Monday indicated that an uncertain economic outlook for Europe was having an impact on the group with western European quarterly orders down 40 per cent.

The truck market is a useful industrial economic weather vane as it is closely linked to core areas of economic activity such as construction and trade.
