DT sees growth in mobile internet

Deutsche Telekom, Europe’s largest telecoms group by sales, said it expected its mobile business to remain insulated from the global economic downturn as it stuck to its full-year profit forecasts.

Growth in its mobile division, which operates in 12 countries, is underpinned by an increasing number of customers accessing the internet over its wireless networks instead of via traditional fixed-line networks, the company said on Thursday.
