Backlash could reduce retirement offers

New laws affecting pensions could spell the end for generous employer contributions towards retirement savings.

Last week, after what seemed an interminable wait, the Pensions Bill finally became the Pensions Act. This means that, as of 2012, all adults will be “opted-in” to making contributions to a pension, and all employers will be responsible for making pension provision for their staff.
