Kingfisher considers switching tax base

Kingfisher, the owner of the B&Q home improvement chain and the UK’s second- biggest non-food retailer, is considering shifting its tax domicile overseas.

The move would be one of the most high-profile examples of a British company looking abroad for more favourable tax treatment and would underline the challenge facing the government at a time of strain on the public finances.
