Cameron hits at ideas ‘rehash’

David Cameron used the Queen’s Speech as a launching pad for a ferocious attack on Gordon Brown, accusing the prime minister of short-termism, weakness, lack of vision and incompetence.

The Tory leader and prime minister clashed in unusually vitriolic terms, setting the stage for a politically bloody battle between the two parties – now level pegging in the polls – in the run-up to the next election.
