Desmond says OK to £17m Gulfstream jet

There were no more £40m pension top-ups for Richard Desmond last year, but there have been compensations for the publisher of OK magazine. He has set aside £17m of his company’s money to buy a corporate jet.

Accounts to be filed Tuesday by Northern & Shell Network, which also operates Mr Desmond’s adult television channels and the Daily Express and Daily Star newspapers, reveal a capital expenditure commitment “relating to the purchase of a corporate aircraft”.
