The US on Wednesday called on North Korea not to test a long-range missile that could hit continental US, as Washington rejected calls from Pyongyang for direct talks to resolve the crisis.

“It should make people nervous when non-transparent regimes that have announced that they’ve got nuclear warheads fire missiles,” George W. Bush said in Vienna.
