Strong results from Austrian steelmaker Voestalpine did little to boost the sector on Thursday, as European shares dipped lower for a second day.
While Voestalpine reported a return to profit in the second quarter, peers Salzgitter, ArcelorMittal and ThyssenKrupp dipped lower as metal prices declined in London.
