The two recently-appointed deans of Wharton and Insead, Tom Robertson and Frank Brown, have renewed the inter-school alliance signed by their two predecessors.

The original Insead-Wharton pact was signed in 2001 by Gabriel Hawawini at Insead and Patrick Harker at Wharton. It has now been extended for a further four years.

Since 2001, more than 800 MBA students have participated in exchange programmes, enabling them to study on three continents - Insead has campuses in France and Singapore, Wharton in Philadelphia and San Francisco. These days between 100 and150 MBA students participate in the exchange and get access to courses, faculty and career services at the partner school. More than 750 executives have also studied on co-branded open-enrolment executive programmes and the two schools have designed and delivered customised programmes together too.

Future initiatives include a joint research conference in June and development of further alumni events.
