Tsang stays ahead of pack in HK race to replace Tung

Hong Kong's hottest dinner party subject in recent weeks has been who is best positioned to succeed Tung Chee-hwa as the territory's chief executive.

Donald Tsang, the chief secretary for administration and the territory's second highest-ranking official, is the name on the tips of many tongues. For a start, he controls many of the city's most important policy dossiers, including political reform and a controversial project to develop a cultural hub.
