An institute run by the grandson of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, founder of the Islamic republic, has filed a complaint against a hardline Iranian newspaper over an editorial that alleged that the Khomeini household was infiltrated by “riotous agents”.

The case comes amid a continuing rift in the Iranian leadership over Mahmoud Ahmadi-Nejad’s June re-election as president.
