Sainsbury donates £82m for plant research

Cambridge has announced one of the biggest donations ever made to a British university, showing that rich donors can still be found despite the credit crunch.

Lord Sainsbury of Turville, the businessman and former Labour minister, has given £82m ($123m) for a laboratory to study plant development.
