TV phone-in scandal claims first senior scalp

The audience deception scandal that continues to rock British broadcasting claimed its first senior victim on Wednesday when Paul Corley, managing director of GMTV announced his resignation.

The breakfast television company was the first to announce what action it will take to compensate viewers who were cheated when they rang phone-in competitions.
