Shares of China Netcom, the smallest of China?s four big telecoms carriers, rose 11 percent in their Hong Kong debut on Wednesday, at the high end of forecasts, after jumping on their first day in New York.
China Netcom, the last of the four big Chinese telecoms carriers to list, traded at HK$9.35 shortly after the market open on Wednesday, compared with an offering price of HK$8.40. The stock reached as high as HK$9.50.
