Brown calls for £60bn climate fund

Developed countries should pay poorer nations £60bn a year by 2020 to cover the costs of climate change, Gordon Brown said on Friday.

Smaller annual sums would be needed from 2013 onwards, and most of it would have to be additional to existing commitments to overseas development aid, the prime minister said.
